Application Method

Application Form can be downloaded since 2 June 2010.

Important Notes

  1. This event offers different levels of challenges and all participants are advised to have adequate preparation and trainings.
  2. Each team has 2 to 4 members, except Corporate Relay Teams in Challenger - Whole Course.
  3. There must be at least one male and one female participant in a Mixed Team of any Courses.
  4. Participants must be aged 18 or above on the first day of the Event.
  5. Each applicant can only enroll in ONE course and ONE category.
  6. Team Detail Amendment: 
    After the Application Deadline on 19 July 2010 (Monday), teams will be charged HK$200 for EACH amendment (including change of course or category / addition, reduction or substitution of team members). Acceptance of additional member(s) will be subject to the availability of quota.

       Amendment Deadline is 20 September 2010 (Monday).


  7. All applications must be submitted to the Organizer with all required documents, fees, and minimum donation (Please refer to "Application Method") on or before 19 July 2010 (Monday) (based on postmark date). Application is on a first-come-first-served basis.
  8. An acknowledgement email will be sent within 14 days after the Organizer has received the application. Otherwise, please contact the Organizer.
  9. Teams are encouraged to compete for the Outstanding Fundraising Award by keeping raising funds after successful application. The extra donations raised and the Donation Forms should be sent to the Organizer on or before 30 November 2010 (Tuesday) (based on postmark date). (Please do not mail cash.)
  10. Application fees and donations are non-refundable once the application is acknowledged.
  11. Successful applicants must attend the Participant Briefing. Details will be announced through email and Event Website.
  12. The Organizer reserves the rights to accept or reject any application, or disqualify participation of any participants.
  13. In case of bad weather, announcements on the latest arrangements for the Event will be made via Event Website http://www.raleigh.org.hk/wilsontrail.
  14. The Organizer reserves the rights to cancel the Event by reason of safety or public health. Under such circumstances, all paid fees and donations will not be refunded.
  15. The Organizer reserves the ultimate rights to amend and interpret all the terms and conditions.
  16. Once applications are submitted, it represents the applicants confirm and agree to accept all of the rules, terms, and arrangement made and subsequently raised for the event.

Paper Application

    1. Please post the completed Application Form to the Organizer on or before 19 July 2010 (Monday) (based on postmark date) and mark on the envelope with "RCWT 2010 - Paper Application".
    2. Please post the following required items A-F to the Organizer on or before 19 July 2010 (Monday) (based on postmark date).
      1. Application fee (a crossed cheque or the original copy of bank-in slip)
      2. Minimum donation (crossed cheque or the original copy of bank-in slip)
      3. Electronic Record Card deposit (Each team must submit a separate crossed cheque of HK$200)
      4. Declaration Form original signed by all team members (need to return the original form)
      5. If applicable:

      6. Full-time student ID card copy (for full-time student only)
      7. Proof of outstanding performance in other hiking events (for participants of Tornado 156 and Elite Team only)
    3. If donation receipts* are required, please return the completed Donation Form to the Organizer. For extra donations, please post the completed Donation Form and the crossed cheque or bank-in slip to the Organizer on or before 30 November 2010 (Tuesday).

    * Donation receipt will be issued for HK$100 or above upon request and receiving the completed donation form.

    Process of Application

    "Acknowledgement E-mail" - It will be sent to all team members within 14 days after receiving the submission of the application form via online or by post.

    "Application Confirmation E-mail" - It will be sent to all team members within 14 days after receiving the above listed required items A-F by post.
